Mary Jo has been a resident of Tuscaloosa since 1968. She is a native of New Orleans and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University – however, she is a dedicated Alabama Crimson Tide fan! Her late husband, Dr. John O. Mason, Jr., was a professor in the Culverhouse School of Accountancy at the University of Alabama. Mary Jo has 3 sons and 12 grandchildren.
